About Michael Dean

With over 38 years of experience in the dental field, Owner and Founder Michael Dean has establish his company as one that is synonymous with Quality. He first learned the trade as a young man working in the family business and expanded his skills to become an entrepreneur of a very successful Dental Lab. Michael migrated to Canada in 1980 where he worked for other labs in Winnipeg for the first 7 years of his career. As an employee he consistently challenged and mastered his skills to be better and faster which ultimately led him to the decision of opening his own lab in 1987.

In 1987 Dean Dental Laboratories was founded and opened its doors at a small location in Winnipeg’s downtown area. Employing only himself for the first couple of years, Michael worked long hours to do all aspects of the job efficiently which included; managing, marketing, delivery, pick-ups and all aspect of the lab work. Through his hard work and commitment to the trade he established a reputation of doing quality work and built a solid reputation within Winnipeg’s Dental and Lab community.

In 2001 Michael took another leap and purchased the mall at 713 Salter Street, which is now the home of Dean Dental Lab. In this current location, all aspects of the business are no longer managed by Michael, but by a team of amazing technicians and administrative staff. The senior technicians at Dean Dental have over 100 years of combined experience in the trade and stay current with the latest technology that is available on the market.

One thing however, that remains the same at Dean Dental, is the high quality of work that leaves the facility daily. Michael, continues to check over the work leaving the lab, to ensure the quality of workmanship holds true today as it did 29 years which produced a great company reputation not only here in Winnipeg, but across Canada.
